GP/Learning Disability Liaison Meetings Restart

Islington Learning Disabilities Partnership (ILDP) has restarted its liaison meetings with GP practices in Islington via Microsoft Teams.

The purpose of the meetings is to:

  • act as an interface between the community learning disabilities team and primary care
  • provide consultation and advice on physical and mental health conditions
  • determine whether a patient has a global learning disability (LD)
  • cross-check those patients with LD and no mental health diagnosis prescribed psychotropic medicines in line with STOMP (Stopping Overprescription of People With an LD, Autism or Both)
  • identify patients due age/sex appropriate health screening and LD annual health checks.

To arrange your first meeting, contact Athena Mesaritis, pharmacist at ILDP:e: athena.mesaritis@nhs.net

Expiry date: Jul 28th, 2021
