Immediate Changes to RFH referrals for Infectious Diseases and HIV

With immediate effect, the Royal Free Hospital (RFH) in Hampstead will no longer be accepting direct access referrals from GPs for patients with infectious diseases and HIV. This measure has been put in place as part of capacity planning work around the UK preparedness for the treatment of patients who test positive for coronavirus.

Should you need to make a referral, the below trusts provide the following services:

  • North Middlesex University Hospital: HIV only
  • University College London Hospitals: HIV and infectious diseases
  • Whittington Health: infectious diseases only.
Expiry date: Feb 11th, 2021
