UCLH Phlebotomy Update: Clinic and Referral Process Details

Rapid changes required, by the Covid-19 outbreak, to a phlebotomy service already at capacity have created challenges for both GP practices and acute trusts. While medium and long-term planning is underway, GPs are requested to familiarise themselves with and use the temporary process in place for phlebotomy appointments at UCLH clinics.

Please note: all clinics are now appointment only; pre-booked by patients after Islington GP practices email a PDF tQuest to UCLH only (uclh.gpbloodtestrequest@nhs.net).

Community phlebotomy clinics (appointment only) are being held at Finsbury Health Centre and James Wigg Practice.

Please note: The following clinics are closed until further notice: UCLH Atrium, Islington Central Medical Centre, River Place Health Centre.

Please go to the Phlebotomy updates page on the NCL GP Coronavirus intranet for up-to-date information on phlebotomy services, and the Community Phlebotomy service page on the Islington GP website, where you will find details of the clinics available and the referral process to be followed.
