The Royal Free London is no longer accepting cardiology referrals for direct-access diagnostics, in response to the Covid-19 outbreak. For further detail of the Royal Free Hospital cardiology service at this time, see the Cardiology topic page.

 


The Royal Free London direct-access service is for patients who require the following diagnostic tests:

  • walk-in ECG
  • 24-hour Holter monitoring
  • 24-hour blood pressure monitoring
  • five-day Loop monitoring.

How to refer

The following clinicians can refer to this service:

EMIS form

Referral methods: e-Referrals, EMIS managed referral

Routine referrals

Complete EMIS form and send by email.

Direct access ECGs

Walk-in clinic is available 9am-4.30pm. Please refer via e-Referral system or send patient to walk-in clinic with completed ECG referral form. Please note, patients referred via e-Rs will be given priority.
