Islington Carers Hub (ICH) offers the following services and support to carers who live in Islington, or who care for someone who lives in Islington:

  • advice about benefits they and the person they care for are entitled to
  • carer assessments
  • young adult carer support
  • help from the Flexible Breaks Fund
  • emergency carers card
  • carers parking permits (for carers who live outside Islington)
  • carers’ employment rights
  • training
  • housing and home accessibility 
  • signposting and liaison with other services in Islington
  • help with form filling and supporting letters
  • casework.

Eligibility criteria

Inclusions

  • carers aged 18+
  • looking after anyone aged 18+ 

Exclusions

  • carers aged under 18
  • paid domiciliary carers 

How to refer

Self-referral

Carers can self-refer online or by phone to get support, advice and regular news about carers’ rights and events for carers in Islington.
