Children's Audiology (Hearing) Service

Second-tier children's audiology service for all children aged six months to 18 years (or 19 if still in education with developmental problems or a disability).

This service is provided to children and young people living in Islington and/or attending school in Islington. Hornsey Rise Health Centre is used for outreach clinics.


Eligibility criteria

Inclusions

  • Aged six months to 18 years or 19 if still in education
  • Has Islington GP and/or attending school in Islington 

Exclusions

  • Patients who have failed the newborn hearing screen and need a further testing via auditory braintstem response assessments.
  • Patients who are hearing aid users or are in need of hearing aids.
